Lund Companion Products is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer ready to work with a broad range of accessories, from Vision study through Concept into Development phase. Products are various Smart wearable products.
You will need to work closely with new suppliers and participate in pushing the technical frontier in the now evolving wearable product market.
The work includes both internal projects such as supporting product planners, industrial designers and technical project managers with complete product designs and external tasks such as working with external ODM partners. The work might require some travelling.
The team you will belong to consists of experts in different disciplines and forms a powerful group to support in a broad range of tasks. You need to have an open mindset and be eager to learn more in areas you might not have been directly involved in previously.
Responsibilities and Qualifications:
• M.Sc. Mechanics or other relevant education/experience
• Solid experience in 3D CAD, we work with NX as our tool
• Good knowledge of other discipline's requirements, for instance PP, ID, RF, BB, Optics, Acoustics and DFM
• Proven ability to propose good solutions and configurations balancing many differing directions
• Experience in tooling and processing within Mech and El-Mech, but also knowledge of the other discipline's processes
• Experience of product development in a global environment, both with internal and external stakeholders
• Self driven problem solving individual taking full ownership
• Ability to work independently, used to take own initiatives
• Good communications skills and an excellent team-player
• Fluent in spoken and written English
You will be part of several projects at the same time you need to be flexible and have the ability of prioritizing various tasks. Since English is our company language, you should be fluent in English. As this position is located in Sweden, Lund proficiency in Swedish.
