We are now looking for an engaged engineer to join our design team at Volvo Powertrain Engineering in Malmö. We develop leading Turbo Systems and pioneering technologies for the Volvo Group. We have customer success as our number one deliverable and we are globally responsible for every Turbocharger our customers acquire. The development of the Turbo Compound-unit and Turbocharger for the new Volvo D13 Engine in North America, featuring a 6.5 % fuel efficiency increase, makes us very proud (

Job description
As Senior Mechanical Engineer you will be the main project interface. You will be responsible of project deliveries related to the development of your component, such as early risk assessments/FMEA, installation studies, dimensioning/modelling, design reviews and release of technical documentation. You will plan and drive the component verification and validation activities according to the Volvo guidelines. It is important that you understand the end customers need in order to find the best solution, taking all project and product requirements into account. As Senior Mechanical Engineer you will also be the main supplier interface when it comes to engineering activities to secure component quality, delivery, cost and feature.
You will be part of a very experienced and engaged engineering team with great colleagues both locally in Malmö and around the world. You will work cross functionally with people from e.g. purchasing, manufacturing and aftermarket, as well as globally with other sites. You will functionally report to the Global Component Responsible.
