Main responsibilities
The Mechanical Engineering group within Packaging Material is responsible for the mechanical design towards projects within Packaging material organization, covering all converting technology areas such as printing, lamination, finishing and mtrl treatment. The Mechanical Engineering group is also responsible of developing and maintaining the converting design specifications related to tools, methods and standards and driving and scouting the technology needed in the future for mechanical design.
In the position as Senior Mechanical Designer you will highly involved in development projects in all areas of the Engineering groups responsibility. You will both be coordinating others as well as designing on your own.
You will:
• Lead specific high complex mechanical design activities, as well as develop, specify and document solutions
• In co-operation with other project members strengthen and securing design before final design is released
• Calculate, simulate, analyze and prove design according to agreed processes.
• Design and document according to legal requirements, corporate standards and processes.
• Create time plans, work breakdown structures and cost estimations.
• Provide input and revise test specification and technical manuals.
• Actively pursue knowledge of new ideas, technologies and components.
• Work with external partners and suppliers to find equipment concepts
Qualifications
To be successful we believe you have B.Sc. or M.Sc. within mechanical engineering at least 5 years of experience working in mechanical design with full machine design responsibility and product creation. If you have knowledge in requirements management , architectural design and mechatronics this will be highly valuable. Knowledge about function, modular and standardization methodologies, manufacturing techniques and tool design is also seen as a merit. You are fluent in English, both written and oral.
In the position we can see a person with strong analytical skills and a genuine technical interest.You are motivated by designing and engineering machinery, creating innovation solutions on complex technical issues. You are analytic and structured, acting with a high personal drive. You also possess leadership competence, with the ambition and ability to lead a team of designers. You are a team player and enjoy sharing your knowledge with others. Communication skills and the ability to adjust to changes as well as to different persons are important as you will be working cross functional with different projects and nationalities.
