Your role
As a senior mechanical designer you will work with pioneering solutions for submarines and surface vessels. The main tasks is to analyze, develop and maintain solutions for the naval defense industry and developing new engineering methods. You do this by having regular contact with production and cross-functional departments to ensure quality.
First and foremost we are looking for a colleague to our office in Malmö but we are also open for placement in Karlskrona.
Your profile
We are looking for a senior mechanical designer with experience from developing welded and composite constructions as well as experience from production. To succeed in this role, you need to be able to work cross-functional with other departments internally, customers, subcontractors, partners and other colleagues globally. We believe you have a curious mind and feel dedicated to develop solutions for the naval defense industry.
Required skills:
* Master's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
* Minimum a few years of experience from mechanical design
* Knowledge and experience from welded constructions
* Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, verbal and written
Desired skills:
* Knowledge about DNV GL rules and standards for ship classification
* Experience from CREO and Windchill
* Experience from composite constructions
* Experience from agile working methods
* Background from the defense industry
* Experience from the navy (Conscript service or employment)
What you will be a part of
You will collaborate with experienced engineers in an environment that fosters career development and personal growth. You will be a part of the Hull & Superstructure team that develops high-end solutions for both submarines and surface vessels. Our team is based in Malmö and Karlskrona. The team you will join works agile and cross-functional, designing both submarine and surface ship hulls and superstructures. This is done in close collaboration with calculation- and production experts.
