Background
In order to strengthen the Mechanical Design team to meet future challenges and secure execution of expected interesting contracts we need to add strong team members.
We are currently developing and introducing new working methods in different areas such as contract design management, proactive quality assurance, CAD methods and product documentation. In this strategic change work we need experienced engineers with fresh ideas, unspoiled minds and with right attitude.
We are a very efficient and value adding focused team with a minimum of overhead. All team members are therefore expected to work hard and hands on close to the customers.
The Team
The Mechanical Design Team, part of the Design Department, consists of 12 designers plus consultants. The Team is responsible for the mechanics of our products including layouts, steel structure, operation and pipe/cable routing. This makes the team the real heart of the company.
The team works with different types of tasks such as contract design, product maintenance and Research & Development. Design support is provided to all down- and upstream functions.
Within the team, different roles are established, such as Contract Design Coordinator, Item Design Responsible, Product Design Responsible & Piping System Responsible.
The teams are divided in working groups which work close together and maintain and develops the products in order to meet our customers increasing demands.
Who are you?
You have a strong passion for mechanical design and preferable at least 5 years experience in designing heavy steel constructions and mechanical parts within the shipbuilding and/or offshore field.
You have strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work well in a creative team with high sense of service. You are also appreciated amongst your colleagues due to your natural inspiring way of acting.
You are proficient with AutoCAD and Inventor design tools.
