Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
Biotage has for several years been a successful company developing instruments, consumables and services for our customers. The width of our products makes development very exciting and we are working in close collaboration between Research and Development, Marketing, Service and Production in an international business environment. In Uppsala we have a highly professional team leading the development of hardware, software and chemistry and they are crucial for Biotage's success.
Now the team in Uppsala planning to grow and we are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to strengthen our successful development department even further. The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will be crucial for the mechanical development of new products from concept to production and improvement of the existing products. You are responsible for the requirements, specifications; design mechanics to our systems and for development of the production base in the CAD environment and then transfer it to production. Experience with Creo and Windchill would be an advantage. You are also responsible for developing new technology platforms for the future, test and verify our own designs, to have contact with our suppliers, as well as participate in the selection of purchased components, in close collaboration with the production.
Qualifications
The successful candidate possesses either a Masters degree, or a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, preferably combined with at least 3-5 years of work life experience from mechanical design and development. Fluency in English, both oral and written is mandatory.
As a person you are independent and can drive your own work forward. You have a strong and wide technical interest and your technical curiosity makes you a high level performer of problem solving. It is natural for you to set up your own time plans and drive your work to closure in an organized/systematic way. You are a team player and able to communicate with external and internal stakeholders in a supportive way.
