Service and maintenance represent an increasing proportion of operations in this area. Volvo Aero offers an extensive range of services, including maintenance, repair and overhaul of aero engines and industrial gas turbines, sales of spare parts for aero engines and aircraft as well as sales and leasing of complete engines and aircraft.
The Senior Manufacturing Engineer has the overall manufacturing responsibility in the startup of new components and improvement projects.
The assignment includes:
establishing project plans showing the time and
resources required
to manufacture and qualify components to reach project requirements.
coordinating pre-production teams conducting tooling design, tooling manufacturing, manufacturing preparation, NC-programming and qualification
managing manufacturing issues with Customers and Purchasing, Engineering and Quality departments
The Senior Manufacturing Engineer is involved in the Global Development Process (GDP) from gate 3 to gate 7.
Requested qualifications:
You have:
a technical education, preferably at academic level or equivalent. We require solid skills and experience in manufacturing engineering
former experience in the startup of new components and improvement projects
Further, we believe that you have an analytical mind and possess communication skills in both Swedish and English. You are an open minded and positive person with a demonstrated ability to manage continuous improvements.
