CEVT is an innovation center for the future cars of the Geely Group. We develop mobility solutions for a different tomorrow, we occupy some 2000 people and are based in Gothenburg.
We are now looking for a Senior Manager for Wheel Suspension. This is a leadership position with people responsibility. The module team is responsible for both front and rear axle including spare wheel with tools, foams etc and consists of 35 persons.This role means that you, as Senior Manager, will be responsible for developing your team to securing quality on everyday deliveries. You will work in close co-operation with System Managers, who secure concepts and technology while you are contributing with the resources and to the shaping and development of a team consisting of highly skilled and motivated individuals.
You will report to the Module Team Director of Wheel Suspension with whom you will plan deliverables, resources and team development needs. Further, you will be part of the module management team. The work principle within the Wheel Suspension Module Team is flexibility. You get to practice what you excel at within your area of responsibility, but as you are part of a larger team you will also support activities in other areas as well as getting support in your area.
Responsibilities and tasks
* Employee lifecycle responsibility for direct reports including recruitment, performance management and competence development.
* Providing coaching and guidance to employees to ensure deliveries and personal development.
* Set and follow up targets for the employees in the group.
* Contribute to the management team for the department.
* Employer responsibility including salary setting and work environment responsibility.
* Building up, developing and long term securing the needed competence, capacity and working processes within the module team.
* Organizing, supervising and quality assurance of work activities.
* Managing plans and deadlines to support the system teams in their deliveries.
* Representing the system area in various cross-functional fora.
* Supporting Module Team Director and System Managers to evaluate engineering solutions.
* Supporting system manager and concept manager in developing world class teams and processes.
* Investigate and refine working methods and processes.
Profile and Background
* MSc or equivalent experience.
* Leadership skills with ability to inspire, drive, motivate and coach direct reports.
* Ability and motivation to build high performing and diverse team with a strong team spirit.
* Cultural awareness and an interest in diversity.
* A flexible mindset with ability to lead change and development as well as taking decisions.
* Ability to communicate clearly and being perceptive.
* Background within engineering, product development and automotive experience can be an advantage.
* Fluency in English, both oral and written.
