We are looking for a Senior Manager Research and Product Development to join FlexLink and be responsible for FlexLink's portfolio of development projects. You will lead the teams in the execution of new product development and the maintenance of the present product range. Furthermore, you will drive the research process and actively seek opportunities within and outside the company, including the Coesia Group companies, universities, and other strategic partners.
The organization you will be responsible for includes Product development in Sweden and Poland and Project Management, Research, Product maintenance and Technical documentation in Sweden and involves 30 people. As Senior Manager Research and Product Development, you report to the Chief Operations Officer and are a member of the Operations Management team. The position is located in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Main activities and responsibilities
• Own the development pipeline and set the budget, allocate resources and make the time plan
• Drive the development process within the company and in cooperation with external parties such as universities, partners, R&D institutes and industry networks
• Lead the project managers in execution of the projects including tradeoff decisions, identification of opportunities and issues and ensure availability of resources
• Be responsible for the technical product documentation and tools
• Identifying new innovation opportunities to drive value-creating research activities
Who are you?
We are looking for you who have:
• M.Sc in Engineering
• Previous experience from Product development of hardware and mechatronics
• Technology experience with regards to industrial automation and production
• Previous Project Management experience
• Industry knowledge in FlexLink's main industry segments such as fast moving consumer goods, automotive, healthcare, robotics and tissue is meritorious
• English, both spoken and written
