hela Sverige Northvolt has an exciting job offer for a senior manager project controls. We are looking for a dedicated/experienced/driven Project Controls Manager to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. By joining us, you will be a key player in establishing/ramping up our execution and contributing to expanding one of the first large scale European battery factories.
As as a senior manager project controls you will lead an integrated team and be responsible for the overall delivery of Project Controls, including Estimating, Cost Management, Planning and Scheduling, Contractor Control, Project Accounting, Trend and Change Management, Progress Measurement and Evaluation and Project Reporting.
In addition, you will be expected to contribute to the development of the CAM Project Controls processes and systems, leading teams to deliver best in class project controls under the director of the Director Project Controls.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Management of Project Controls for US2 and support the team in administering during the execution phase
Example: Prepare the Work Breakdown and Project Coding Structures for control and integrity of work performed as defined with the EPCM and sub-contracts, working with finance to map that to the ERP systems.
• Management of Program reporting and supporting the team in administering reporting during the execution phase.
Example: Setting up of the project controls for a mega scale project, from scratch
Monitor schedule progress (actual vs forecast) along with project planners
• EPCM Contractor & Supplier Controls management and improvements during execution phase.
Example: validation of contractor Estimate at Completion (forecasts) and Earned Value Analysis
• Risk & Opportunity management during execution and supporting management and execution teams with decision making.
Example: Managing periodic updates of the Program & Project risk and opportunity registers, input into quantitative analysis and driving of finance quantitative modelling.
• Working with the Project Controls Director to ensuring standardisation and continuous improvement of the project control practices, as well as knowledge transfer between, and growth amongst, the Project Controls Engineers
Position requirements
BSC/Msc in Science / Engineering or equivalent
Technical expertise in all cost management areas, planning, estimating, pre-contract, post contract and final account.
Minimum of 7 years' experience
Leadership in project controls in large projects
Excellent communication & presentation skills
Analytical skills
Proficient in MS suite
Passion and enthusiasm for process project Execution, and Commercials.
Bonus points for:
Specific experience of EPCm and EPC contract control
You are a team player, that loves to be in an international environment where good relationships and stakeholder management is key to achieve results
You are highly organized and result-driven
You act proactively and have a can-do attitude that goes beyond expectations
Experience developing/using digital tools and enterprise software in a project controls context.
