Indirect Purchasing - IT is a group within Indirect Purchasing in the Purchasing & Manufacturing Organisation. The team consist of nine engaged professionals that provide specific IT competence to Purchasing at Volvo Car Group. Our role is to mainly serve Volvo Car Group Global IT department with different sourcing activities, supplier-, market- and spend analysis, contract management as well as governance towards our current and potential suppliers. We are now looking for a Senior Manager to lead the team.
As Senior Manager - IT Purchasing you will be responsible for the global strategies for sourcing, contracting and interaction with key internal stakeholders for the IT area. It will be your responsibility to lead a highly motivated team to deliver on objectives as well as influence strategic issues cross functions. The team source IT products and services for approximately 4 BSEK annually. The role will report to Director of Indirect Purchasing.
Main responsibilities
• Responsible for the global strategies for sourcing and contracting
• Lead and motivate the team members
• Internal and external interaction with stakeholders for the IT area
Required qualifications
• Education from university or equal
• Around 5 years' experience from negotiation and contracting within the IT area
• Previous experience from a managerial position
• Experience from IT sourcing strategy work is meritorious
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)

• Strong interest in and ability to develop networks, teams and individuals and efficiently delegate tasks
• Ability to think strategically but also a hands-on approach to occurring issues
• Performance and solution oriented with the ability to motivate others
