We are now looking for a Senior Manager Global Program Management as a member of Polestar global purchasing organization.

We are now looking for a Senior Manager Global Program Management as a member of Polestar global purchasing organization. This role will work closely with the global team to ensure procurement deliverables. The role will primarily be covering all DM projects management as a leading role in Polestar engineered projects, and synergize with Volvo purchasing for Volvo engineered projects, and support other areas where and when required.

This role will report to Head of Direct Material and is located either at our HQ in Gothenburg-Sweden or in Coventry-UK or in Shanghai-China.

What you'll do

Managerial tasks

• Coach the team, empower them and support them to reach their professional and personal goals
• Create career development plans with your team and follow up on the progress
• Inspire others to make the world a better place

Polestar engineered projects

• Ensure procurement deliverables according to project requirements
• Collaborate with project team to reach demands in respective program with effective communication
• Assure the effective project implementation with continuous prompt market benchmark information
• Design, optimize and adapt the sourcing process based on the current performance, stakeholder needs and overall business objectives
• To participate in senior level meetings to ensure procurement presence and deliverables

Volvo engineered projects

• Lead project performance reviews, create improvement or corrective actions to address the performance issues that are identified during the analysis of the business & process performance data
• Team up with Volvo purchasing, participate in meetings that coordinate and feedback program status with the cross functional team
• Report to Polestar management with program status, proactively identify risks and enable action plans to secure team deliveries according to program planning and targets
• Proactively drive Polestar to reach quality, cost, delivery and sustainability demands in respective projects and lessons learned
• Develop cooperation with Volvo purchasing by initiating continuous improvement of projects

Who you are

To succeed in this role, we believe that exceptional communication skills, a strong inclusive leadership and a yes-can-do approach are key notes.

• 15 years+ purchasing experience from the automotive industry
• University degree in business, engineering or equivalent work experience
• Familiar with automotive component global supply base, with sharp discernment and powerful analyzing ability of the market
• Strong communication skills and global mindset
• Ability to drive and complete tasks independently, task oriented and high driving spirit
• Smart and nimble mindset, with efficient working performance in a complicated global environment
• Positive and passionate, nothing is impossible mindset, great team player
• International experience and global OEM purchasing program management experience will be an advantage
