Collaboration Services is a part of our department "End User Productivity" (EUP). The department also contains the Service Desk and Workplace Services. Our major department aim is to make the Scania users more productive and efficient in the daily work by providing excellent collaborative End User IT Services as well as support, being innovative, change adoptive and trying new things out. All services are very visible towards the entire organisation, which is both challenging and thrilling at the same time.
The senior manager we are looking for will be responsible for three (3) groups - Telecom, Communication & Collaboration as well as Core Collaboration with approximately 60 people in total. The services delivered from the section are the most trend setting in EUP making our way into the cloud. The section drives modern Intranet, Telephony and Collaboration forward, it is always developing and dealing with highly interesting new functionalities like the collaboration enabling features of Office 365.
What challenges do we offer?
As a manager for Collaboration Services you will be a servant leader (coaching, supporting and developing the staff).
Another part of the role is to set the strategies and plans for the deliveries according to the customer needs. In the role you have the benefit of leading a highly motivated team of three group managers as well as being a part of the management team for the department. In the management teams we have strong focus on co-operation to enable the best results whilst developing the department and sections. Being inspired from each other and having fun is a living rule.
As a leader you make sure that we have the right balance in the manning, the right competences and technical capabilities to enable a continuous success in our deliveries.
The section has a global functional responsibility due to the collaboration area, which involves governance, coordination and cooperation with regional and local sites in Europe, Latin America and Asia.
Scania is a part of the Volkswagen group and this enables your natural contribution within the collaboration area as well as a certain amount of travels within the VW family.
What profile do we believe you have?
For you to be successful in this role we believe that you are an experienced manager with proven leadership skills and that you have a deep understanding of both the non-technical and technical side of IT. You love to develop people and enjoy team success.
Furthermore you are:
a servant leader who is eager to help out
good at setting the direction and plans for the area
good at communicating your vision, breaking it down in clear goals and working in close collaboration with your groups to reach your common goals
understand the importance of developing your employees for future competence needs
a skilled communicator who can communicate both IT topics to business management as well as technical staff
fluent in English and Swedish. Additional languages such as German is a strong plus
And you have academic education in IT, or equivalent experience.
