At Corporate Communications, you are part of a global communication team that's charged with developing the awareness and positivity of the Volvo brand and its products by building trusting relationships with journalists, online influencers and policy makers as well as internal communication with all Volvo employees globally. You and your team manage the long-term perception of the company in all media as well as any reactive threats to its reputation. Are you passionate about people, cars and communication? The Product and Brand Communication department is organised within Corporate Communications. The Product & Brand Communication team has the responsibility and the technical competence to present Volvo Car Group's products and innovation brands value-added services to global media and influencer audiences. The team is also the experts in communication and in-depth technical knowledge for each of Volvo Car Group's current and future products.
As Senior Manager - Connectivity your responsibility is to manage the overall media communication strategy, initiate and perform activities that supports and will fullfil the media communication plan within the area of Connectivity.
Main responsibilities
• Responsible for the media communication strategy
• Plan, implement and evaluate all launches, together with Product & Brand team members, within the area of Connectivity, to global media and influencer audiences, as well as promoting already introduced features at relevant opportunities.
• To communicate, share information and align with stakeholders to deliver coordinated communication activities on time and within budget (including KPI's where applicable)
• Responsible for briefing to diverse agencies in the creation of assets for media purpose
Required qualifications
• Academic degree or equivalent within the area of communication
• Media knowledge
• Management experience with strategic focus
• Proven leadership skills with focus on courage, creativity and change management
• Exceptional communications skills in English, orally and in writing

• Team player with own drive and ability to delegate
• Interested in people and good at networking
• Entrepreneurial mind-set and business acumen
• Positive attitude and pro-active mind-set and able to motivate and give energy to others
• Skilled in communication and collaboration with high integrity
