Senior Manager IT Business Applications Development, Parts Supply & Logistics

Customer Service is a unit within Volvo Cars, which is responsible for the global aftermarket business, distribution of original spare parts and accessories and service. Our ambition is to be the preferred provider of parts and service to our dealers and customers, and thus actively contribute to creating the best car ownership experience for our customers. To live up to this it is our aim to be a global Customer Service organisation, where Parts, Service & Logistics work as a team together with marketing and sales companies. Our headquarters and central warehouse are located in Gothenburg with approximately 1,300 employees. The Logistics function in Customer Service is responsible for spare parts availability to Volvo Cars markets worldwide. The responsibility covers the entire material flow from suppliers to retailers. The business is built around central warehouses in Gothenburg & Shanghai, as well as several warehouses around the world. The IT system landscape is global and part of our heart for the operations.

As Senior Manager IT Business Applications Development, Parts Supply & Logistics you will have the responsibility from a business point to develop and maintain the complete IT system portfolio for Parts Supply & Logistics. The main system is PULS, VIPS, TDS, VR but also factory related systems like Pick by Voice and our high bay system. You have a team of 7 Business Applications Managers (BAM) to support the organisation, a good relationship with Volvo Cars ' IT and close contacts with markets. You report in to the Senior Director for Parts Supply & Logistics and are a part of the Parts Supply & Logistics Management team. The main challenge the coming years will be the transformation of our old legacy system PULS into a future parts management and offer system that can support our new digital future, increased and more complex sourcing and global logistical footprint.

Main responsibilities

* Development and coordination of PS&L IT systems including cost & investment budget
* Business Application Management activities including demand specification and testing for PS&L system portfolio
* Drive & participate in PS&L related projects
* Benchmark & development trends for future IT (hardware & software) opportunities in distribution and warehouse operations
* System training and follow up
* Develop and implement KPI follow up for logistic efficiency
* IT Hardware coordination for warehouse operations
* Security responsible for Global Customer Service

Required qualifications

* Master of Science or University degree in System Development or likewise
* 5-10 years of experience within the IT area
* Good documented leadership skills
* Experience of large transformation projects
* Knowledge from international working environment
