The hydrogen team's objective is to leverage the unprecedented global momentum in hydrogen, supported by several underlying trends, e.g. a stronger push for decarbonization, falling costs of renewables and electrolysis, strategic pushes from governments, and sector coupling.
About the position
Hydrogen is one of the most important pillars of our strategy to become carbon neutral, we are now looking for a Senior Manager to join our Hydrogen Business Development team. Join us and look forward to exciting projects with highly motivated and experienced professionals at Uniper and Fortum to reach the next level as ONE TEAM. The Senior Manager role is to drive hydrogen business development in Scandinavia and would ideally be located in one of our main locations in Sweden: Solna or Malmö.
Responsibilities
• Take lead responsibility for one of our hydrogen projects in the Nordics as a project director and lead a project organisation with a functional project team
• Manage relationships to project partners, suppliers, contractors, authorities and customers
• Structure the project, develop a strong commercial business case and bring it to board decision
• Support to execute Uniper's/Fortum's hydrogen strategy in one of our core markets: Make Uniper/Fortum a leading up- & midstream player developing projects and supplying a wide range of customers (industry, mobility, heating, electricity)
• Create and develop business models and asset project options (project screening and qualification / funnel) for blue + green hydrogen
• Steer and coordinate activities along the full hydrogen value chain (from energy supply, production, conversion, midstream, sales)
• Leverage on Uniper's/Fortum's cross-value chain competencies, customer access and existing operations in natural gas (in particular along Origination, Supply/Trading/Optimisation, Transportation and Sales)
• Work with the current Uniper/Fortum asset fleet and Asset Development to help materialise the masterplan approach
• Engage in discussions and negotiations for hydrogen related topics with external, commercial partners of high strategic relevance by using the functional model
• Lobbying and association work in strong cooperation with internal departments having a common goal
