hela Sverige We are looking for a Senior Linux System Architect / Engineer.
Assignment background and scope:
• The client has a newly established business providing an end-to-end solution that enables mobile payments and person-to-person money transfer on a global scale. The business is driven in an innovative and entrepreneurial environment at high pace.
• The solution capabilities are realized through multiple front-end and back-end systems, both developed and run in-house or provided by third parties as software components or hosted services. Front-end systems include internet and mobile portals and applications. Back-end systems include: information brokering, electronic money account management, payment processing, transaction management, compliance management (e.g. KYC and AML), cash management, clearing and settlement, etc. The solution needs to comply with certain standards, such as PA/PCI-DSS.
• We are looking for a senior, hands-on, system architect/engineer who can support the IT operations team evolve the system configuration in meeting business availability and security requirements.
Tasks:
• Support the customer IT operations team with Linux expertise.
• Design and architect system components to meet security requirements.
• Improvement efficiency and availability of all operational environments (production, support, test).
• Design, architect, configure and implement relevant operational tools, procedures and security demands on Linux system level.
• Be responsible for that relevant documentation is prepared. ? As part of capacity planning process, capture and analyze performance data. For the Linux system components also be responsible for performance and capacity planning.
• Together with our security, network, development and application experts be responsible for design, configuration management and maintenance of high availability and disaster recovery configurations.
• Interface PDU functions in Linux related matters.
• Educate and share relevant knowledge with IT operations staff.
Competence Requirements:
• 3-4 Year experience as a Linux System Administrator or System Manager (Preferably SuseLinux or OpenSuse).
• Is a Novell Certified SuseLinux Administrator is favored.
• Understand how to tune and optimize performance of Linux systems.
• Documented experience on Shell and Perl scripting. ? Experience on working with and designing High Availability and Disaster Recovery configuration. Experience on Symantec Veritas cluster, Volume Manager Replication is favorable. ? Deep knowledge about Unix/Linux security implementations and mechanisms
• Experience on hardening of servers.
• Experience working with virtualization technologies.
• Communicative and has no problem to share knowledge and mentor colleagues.
• Fluent in English.
• Can contribute to process improvement work.
