About the position
Starbreeze Studios is looking for a creative Senior Level Artist to join our team. We would like you to be a strong team player that is able to work well with people from other disciplines. As a Senior Level Artist you will work with one of our major projects and create art for levels in our inhouse toolset. You will be part of a highly dedicated team of level artists. Experience from tools such as Radiant, Hammer or Unreal is preferred. The position is full time, on site at our studio in Uppsala, Sweden, located just north of Stockholm. We are not taking any freelance applicants for this position.
Responsibilities
• Ensure that the environments work well with the gameplay
• Understanding and working within the current art direction
• Build environments and objects for our game
• Maintain and create a look and feel that is consistent throughout the game
• Completing the scheduled tasks on time
Requirements
• 3+ published games
• 4+ years of professional experience from creating levels for games
• Excellent understanding of spatial layout, lighting and visual composition
• Experience from working in a 3D package, such as Maya or 3DS Max
• Experience from shipping on multiple console platforms (Ps2, Ps3, XBox360, PC etc.)
• Strong artistic vision and attention to detail
• Focused, self-driven, independent, strong collaborative work ethic
• Great English skills
Pluses
• Experience working with different types of settings
• Experience working with FPS?s
• Experience from working in a BSP editor
• Knowledge of the basic principles of architecture
• Experience in traditional Arts and Lighting
