An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented senior IPR lawyer to join our Legal Affairs team, guiding and supporting activities across Tetra Pak's businesses, especially in new sustainable product and technology development.
The Legal Affairs function is headed up by the Tetra Pak Group General Counsel who leads a dynamic and closely collaborative team of governance, risk and compliance, IPR and legal professionals located in more than 20 countries around the world.
The position will be based in Lund (Sweden) or Modena (Italy) and will report to the Chief Counsel, Legal Affairs Development & Technology.
What you will do
Advise stakeholders across the entire range of intellectual property issues including joint development, technology transfer, protection, enforcement, licensing, litigation and dispute resolution.
Assist in advising on the impact of other regulatory areas on development projects including product compliance, sustainability, competition, data protection and digital laws.
Provide general legal, governance, risk and strategic support on a variety of business areas.
Draft and negotiate complex research, development, proof of concept/prototype, evaluation, licensing and project agreements (including those relating to software).
Develop and support the continuous improvement of related policies, processes (including risk assessment), template agreements, notices, checklists and other tools
Train and develop business and legal colleagues in various IPR, legal and governance areas
Help to select, manage and develop external legal advisers
Facilitate close teamwork with the IPR team and other members of the Legal Affairs team as well as with specialists in various technology areas and other internal stakeholders
Who you are
You are a highly skilled professional with a law degree from a reputable university and a minimum of 7 years' experience working for a leading law firm and/or in-house in a multinational business of comparable size, with a keen interest in science and technology.
Extensive experience in drafting and negotiation of complex IPR transactions and licences and a sound knowledge of competition laws is a prerequisite. Experience from materials science and packaging development projects would be an advantage.
You are fluent in English, both written and spoken, with excellent drafting and communication skills.
You are a driven, resourceful and quick self-starter with the ability to prioritize and manage senior stakeholder expectations. You are a strategic thinker who can apply their intellect and creativity in providing sound risk assessments and innovative legal solutions. You are practical, persuasive and a team-player with the ability to collaborate at all levels and across divisions, geographies and cultures.
