Lund University invites applications for a position as
Senior Lecturer in Urology including a post as specialist/consultant
at the Department of Clinical Sciences in Malmö.
Job discription
The main task for the holder of this position is to participate in teaching in the first and second cycles, mainly within the degree programme in medicine at the faculty. Work duties also include independent research and teaching at research studies level. Other work duties may also arise.
Qualifications
According to Chapter 4, Section 4 of the Higher Education Ordinance, a person is qualified for appointment as a senior lecturer if that person has demonstrated teaching expertise and been awarded a PhD or has the corresponding research competence or some other professional expertise that is of value of the subject in matter of the post and the duties that it will involve.
The future holder of the position is to have expertise in urology.
Basis for assessment
The applicant is to have demonstrated research and teaching expertise of significance to the subject. The assessment will particularly emphasise the importance of teaching expertise and the ability to develop, lead, take responsibility for and implement courses and programmes witin the field. The applicant is to have demonstrated teaching skills both within tuition and supervision in the first, second and third cycles. Teaching expertise is to be documented for all levels. The applicant must prove that he or she has undergone documented training in teaching and learning.
In addition, skills in academic leadership, participation in organisational development and cooperation as well as a proven ability to interact with wider society will be particularly emphasised.
The general qualification requirements for academic staff are: being suited to and having the general ability required to complete the duties of the post well.
