The announced position includes up to 50% time for own research through 2014. Starting January 1, 2009, teacher education and research in the educational sciences are organized through Umeå School of Education (USE) which has been commissioned by the university board to organize 1) education within teacher education, special education, counselling and guidance and the national head teacher-training programme, 2) a research school for doctoral training in the educational sciences, and 3) research in the educational sciences.
The role of the person who has this position is to be an active research leader in science education and to contribute significantly to the further development and expansion of Umeå University as a strong centre in the scientific area by complementing and adding to the existing strengths.
Copies of the 10 publications that are considered the most important scientific contributions (marked in the list) divided into three sets to be handed to the reviewers.
