The Institute of Health and Care Sciences offers a number of undergraduate and postgraduate programs as well as individual academic courses within the first and second cycle of higher education. Basic training courses for nurses and radiographers lead both to a professional degree and a bachelor's degree. Training of midwives and specialist nursing with different orientations are professional registration in combination with master's degree.
All professional programs lead to professional registration. Moreover, courses are offered at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, which give opportunity for continued studies to a master's degree in one of the institute's main topics; nursing, reproductive and perinatal health, radiography and health care pedagogics. The institute offers a postgraduate program leading to a PhD degree in Health Care Sciences.

Beskrivning av arbetsuppgifter:
SPECIFIC SUBJECT DESCRIPTION In nursing knowledge is developed about health and a good life despite illness or disability and a peaceful and dignified death. In nursing, it is not illness or disability, but person's experience, interpretation and reactions to illness and disease that is focus. JOB ASSIGNMENTS: Responsibilities include teaching, assignment as course coordinator, supervision and examination, at undergraduate, advanced level and postgraduate level in courses. Assignment as course coordinator comprises to development and coordination of learning objectives, learning activities, assessment and assessment criteria in relation to the content, purpose and current pedagogical research, and quality assurance motivated operational plans in the Institute. The assignment includes efforts to achieve participation in planned joint meetings and activities. The holder is expected initiate and applies for external funding.
Beskrivning av kvalifikationer:
ELIGIBILITY: The qualifications for academic positions are given in Chapter 4, Section 3 - 4 of the Higher Education Ordinance. PhD degree, demonstrated pedagogical skills and qualification as registered nurse. ASSESSMENT: Regulations for the evaluation of qualifications for academic positions are given in Chapter 4, Section 3 - 4 of the Higher Education Ordinance. The first assessment criterion is pedagogical skills and scientific skills. Experience of teaching, including supervision and examination of thesis, experience of leading and applying for external funding is meritorious. Great importance will be attached to the quality and breadth of teaching qualifications and teaching experience in the Nursing program. Ability to cooperate and flexibility in both teaching- and student groups and administrative skills will be considered.
