The area of innovation science includes studies of how internal and external circumstances affect innovation processes and how ideas succeed on the market, i.e. become innovations. Studies can be about studying the management of development processes in order to reach strategic goals, or studies of market-oriented or other external conditions for the innovativeness and economic growth of the entrepreneur, company, region or industry. CIEL (Centre for Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Learning Research) carries out research on innovation, entrepreneurship and regional learning. At the moment the research environment consists of around 50 researchers of which nine are full professors and eight are associate professors. Halmstad University has the right to examine at the level of Ph.D. within innovation science. Doctoral studies within innovation science are being developed. The senior lecturer will be a part of the research environment CIEL.
Research within industrial organisation is at present mainly focused on industrial processes for innovations from idea to commercialisation of products and services but also on new organisational solutions for the evolvement and development of innovation. Within industrial organisation research is done on handling complex systems, project management, multi-project, portfolio, and programme steering, product development, Human Resource management for innovation, management of innovation processes, dissemination of innovation, involving suppliers and customers in innovation processes and the development of new business models for commercialisation.

Qualifications
To qualify for the position the applicant must have shown pedagogical skills and have completed a Ph.D. degree or have corresponding scientific competence or other professional qualifications of importance with regard to the position?s subject content and integral duties (HF 4 kap 4§). In addition to the general qualifications above, Halmstad University requires a senior lecturer to have completed pedagogical courses corresponding to 15 credits or in some other way have acquired corresponding knowledge. Should these requirements not be met, the applicant is expected to meet them within two years of being employed.
Further qualifications
The applicant has a Ph.D., preferably within industrial organisation, although a degree from another field with connections to industrial economy and business economy or marketing is also possible.

Experience as director of studies and documented pedagogical education (15 credits) are useful qualifications. The applicant should have experience of and be successful at teaching, research and collaboration. Previous experience of multidisciplinary and/or interdisciplinary projects is an advantage as is having been published internationally and experience of applying for and receiving external funding for research. The applicant should be independent, have a documented ability to cooperate, be structured, dedicated, outgoing and have the ability to lead others. Another valuable qualification is having broad experience within different lines of business, both the manufacturing industry and service-based sectors. We would like you to have experience in developing course material.
