The Faculty offers doctoral education in the field of Library and Information Science, and is working to establish doctoral education programmes in in Educational Work and Business and IT.
At the Faculty, educational programmes are offered at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and here, among other things, librarians, preschool teachers, primary and subject teachers, system architects and web editors are trained.

Job description
Your main tasks will be teaching and research. The teaching is carried out together with colleagues within the department's educational programmes in Informatics and includes courses at both the Bachelor's and Master's levels. Teaching at Bachelor's level is mainly carried out in the Bachelor's programme Computer and Systems Science, while teaching and course development at the Master's level will primarily be carried out in Informatics with a focus on data-driven IT management. Examples of course content include object-oriented programming in C#, data visualisation, software development projects, and web and mobile application development.
The department's policy is to work to ensure that employees have the opportunity to participate in research projects related to the department's two research groups. One research group, InnovationLab, specifically studies the design of digital artefacts while the other research group, ComputerScienceLab, focuses on intelligent data analysis of large data sets. The research is often externally funded and is carried out in project form with several employees in collaboration with business and industry. An important part of the position is to further develop the research environment, primarily through one's own research, but also through the supervision of doctoral students and the development of applications for external research funding.Developing collaborations with national and international networks is a natural part of the work.
During the first two years, the position includes 40% for research, professional development, and other duties, which, after two years, is changed in its in scope according to the relevant working hours agreement.
Teaching at the Bachelor's is in Swedish and English, while teaching at the Master's level is mainly in English.
