hela Sverige At the Faculty of Textiles, Engineering and Business, we conduct research and education in business administration, industrial engineering and management, resource recovery, and building technology, as well as within the textile field: design, management, and technology.
The Faculty's departments are the Department of Business Administration and Textile Management, the Department of Engineering, the Department of Resource Recovery and Building Technology, the Department of Textile Technology, and the Department of Design. There is also a department for the Textiles Labs. The Swedish School of Textiles and the Centre for Sustainable Society Development are other important parts of the Faculty. The Faculty is also the home to two doctoral education programmes: Resource Recovery and Textiles and Fashion.
At the Department of Design, we develop the subject of Textile Design within digital and electronic textile areas and are now seeking someone to contribute to our research and education environment. Are you our new colleague?
Job description
As Senior Lecturer, you work with teaching and supervision in design at the Bachelor's and Master's levels as well as with theoretical development and practical applications within textile methods and aesthetics with a focus on digital and multisensory design processes, design variables, and new materials. Work tasks also include conducting your own research and participating in building the research and education environment, including through course and programme development. Your role also includes participating in the department's collaborations both with adjacent textile education areas and with the outside world, as well as working for increased internationalisation of the design educational programmes.
Qualifications
The position requires:
• Demonstrated teaching expertise.
• Degree of Doctor in Fine Arts, and demonstrated artistic expertise or equivalent professional expertise that is of importance with regard to the subject matter of the position and the duties to be included in the position.
• Documented advanced knowledge and skills in textile interaction design, including digital tools and processes.
• Knowledge and understanding of, as well as practical experience with, new and alternative textile materials for design and textiles' various interaction and expression possibilities.
• Knowledge and understanding as well as practical experience of experimental design research.
• Experience in supervision and teaching in design.
• Good ability to communicate in writing and orally in English.
• Applicants are to be structured people with a good ability to work with others and the capacity to work independently and prioritise among work tasks.

For a permanent position at the university, you must have completed training in higher education pedagogy equivalent to 10 weeks of full-time studies or have equivalent knowledge.
