lecturer in Computer Science at Department of Computer and Information Science
Duties: The position involves teaching, research and administration. It is
also the senior lecturer's responsibility to follow developments in his/her own
area and developments in society that may be significant for the position.
We are looking for an applicant with excellent research record and
documented pedagogical merits for a permanent position as an assistant/associate
professor (universitetslektor) to strengthen the research and supervision at the
laboratory for real-time systems (RTSLAB). The qualified candidate should
have a PhD in computer science, computer engineering or related areas and can
contribute to the teaching activities at the department at Bachelor and Masters
levels. Of special interest is the ability to teach courses in the areas of
real-time systems, wireless networks, and software engineering for embedded
systems. The successful candidate will contribute to co-advising of existing
PhD students in the lab and have the potential and ability for attracting
external funding for new PhD students. The existing research activities in the
lab are independable distributed systems, resource management and assurance of
quality of service, and formal analysis of embedded software for dependability
and timeliness. The new position is intended to strengthen these research
activities and create a synergy with related areas. Post doctoral employment at
industry is seen as a positive experience, leading to creation of cooperative
research opportunities with industrial partners. Qualifications: more
