Roof system and Mirrors is looking for a Senior Lead Engineer for Roof system.
At Roof system and Mirrors you will be part of a global cross-functional development team with a close co-operation with the Volvo team in China. You will be the bridge between our group, the roof system and mirrors group and our co-workers in China. You will be responsible for leading the daily maintenance work, but should also expect assignments as a task force leader within different areas when needed.
The section has a close cooperation with Full Service Suppliers (FSS) from different countries and continents. Our parts have both electrical content as well as design elements. This mix make the close collaboration together with the Product Design, Electrical and Purchasing departments for joint FSS questions both exciting and challenging. We also work closely with Manufacturing and the different plants across the globe to secure the product readiness to market. Your work will also include the task to follow up on current production issues and implement solutions for them.

As a Senior Lead Engineer, we expect you to lead by example and be a role model within our group.
Main responsibilities & deliveries
* Responsible for development of Roof System Products during a project phase
* Be the knowledge carrier between the Roof system and Mirrors group and Program Execution group
* Be the knowledge carrier between and support Roof system and Mirrors in China when needed
* Lead Task Forces as assigned
* Participate in and drive strategic work and activities for the group
Required qualifications
* B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in technical area with relevant work experience
* Experience from Roof system development
* At least 5 years of Project Management experience
* Experience from working with suppliers and perform in international environment
* Proven knowledge of the Volvo Product Development System is an advantage
* Experience from VCC and internal IT system is meritorious
* Excellent English skills, spoken and written
* Driving license "B"

You should have the capacity to drive several issues simultaneously and have a fact based mind-set during problem solving. Focus to get the job done should be your priority, hence result oriented approach and flexibility are the characteristics that will help you to perform on higher level.
Further you need to be good communicator, have excellent social skills and have a sense for team work. Structured and analytical approach is a base and necessity to excel in this role.
