Qualified candidates will enjoy working with customers in the chemical industry on a wide variety of projects involving refined petroleum products and related facilities. Candidates will experience a fast paced, high demand work environment, managing multiple projects for a variety of customers and coordinating efforts with multiple disciplines and support resources.

Work description: You will be part of our Civil department and you will work within all project phases from feasibility studies to execution phase. As a Senior Civil Engineer you will lead projects in civil design and engineering work in the petrochemical industry. We offer a stimulating work environment with varying tasks in design, calculation, design management and planning. You have an important role in the projects, and you work closely with other engineering disciplines. As most of our projects are executed close to customer sites, we have the benefit of receiving constant feedback between design and execution. You have daily contact with the construction sites, and you will be one of our customers' contact persons. By being a part of the project team, you gain a broad expertise in industrial design both locally and internationally.
Specific Accountabilities
Responsible to lead the team into delivery of scope with quality, in time and within budget.
Plan and follow up with all resources available in the team including global workshare resources.
Coordinate and align with other Worley disciplines in the customer's project portfolio.
The role will include:
Be responsible for ensuring that your team delivers drawings, calculations and procurement documentation to the right quality, on time and within budget;
Plan and monitor available resources in the projects including our global resources;
Coordinate and adapt work to other disciplines in the project;
Work in multi-disciplinary project groups in close collaboration with commissioning and other disciplines such as construction, mechanical, process, electrical, instrument etc.
Ensure proper application of technical standards;
Be responsible for quality, budget at schedule for your discipline within projects.
To succeed in this role, we see that you have:
Strong leadership skills
Candidates must as a minimum have a BSc degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, construction technology;
Several years' experience within civil/structural design in similar industry and/or building sector;
Experience of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and TEKLA;
English and Swedish, fluent in speech and writing.
It is a merit with experience from the process, paper industry, nuclear power or refinery industry.
As a person you have a structured, curious and prestige less personality. You are efficient and striving for the best solution. Besides that, you are also a communicative person sense the role is wide and you handle many different tasks and people, this is something you enjoy and are comfortable with.
Being a team player is important, but when needed, you have no hesitation in taking the lead. You also have a great interest in technology and drive your development to take more responsibility in the technical work in the future. You have a systematic approach to planning and prioritizing tasks as well as following up on KPI metrics.
