Polestar is blazing a new trail, dedicating ourselves to the development and refinement of electric vehicle performance. Your experience in Senior Layout and Hardware Designer Power Electronics would be invaluable to us both in developing next generation power electronics for charging and DCDC.

This position is based at our HQ in Gothenburg, Sweden. In the first year there will be traveling included within Europe.
What you 'll do
Our Propulsion charging team is a part of the Polestar Propulsion Department, is a team with a mission to deliver results which exceed the customers' expectations. The team consists of software engineers, calibration engineers and system designers. Your responsibilities will be:
• Layout and placement of power-electronics for charger and DCDC components
• Support hardware design team in packaging the PCB into a finalized product, support as well thermal
• Support simulation activities of the schematics and investigate concepts, in Matlab Simscape or LT-PSPICE.
Who you are
You have a strong will to create the future of electric vehicles - it's probably fair to call you an EV nerd passionate about solving climate changes. You are enthusiastic, motivated, well-organized and driven. You're not afraid to try new approaches and out of the box methods. You have a holistic view, including vision, business, and customers.
To be successful in this role, we believe you have:
• Ms in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Previous experience in power electronics design
• Previous experience in various tools such as Ansys Optics or Altium designer.
