Responsibilities:
Harness all the power of web technologies, to develop state-of-the art, forward looking TV user experiences to be enjoyed by the modern OTT consumer in living rooms across all continents
Pursue innovative paths in UI feature development to establish Vewd OS as the market leading streaming television experience
Actively coordinate with a global engineering organization and contribute to team activities including design reviews, code reviews, and mentoring while proactively seeking assistance when required
Stay current and lead industry developments using the latest web technologies
Requirements:
At least three years of experience as a front-end developer
Significant experience within a complex user interface project
Knowledge and hands-on experience of UI software architectures, MVC/MVP and others
Strong knowledge of JavaScript (multiple frameworks), CSS and DOM/HTML
Knowledge of modern web technologies and trends (service workers, push API, webassembly)
Experience with performance optimisation (JavaScript, animations, loading time, etc.)
Experience with Blink/Chromium (with V8) or Webkit based browsers
Excellent English skills, written and spoken
Preferred Requirements:
Experience in full-stack, can understand the full picture
Knowledge about browser guts (Chrome, Webkit or Firefox) and embedded platforms stack
Embedded systems software architecture knowledge
Detail-obsessed
highly design-sensitive, both interaction and graphical design
Experience with HTML5 video, adaptive bitrate streaming or DRM will be a plus
