Your responsibility
We want our teams to be autonomous and agile. As a member of a development team we want you to have a good understanding of the development lifecycle and enjoy producing well-written and clean code. In the role as Java developer you will mainly work with designing and coding software, and sometimes contribute in the quality assurance.

Your profile
We are looking for applicants with an MSc in Information Technology or similar. Work life experience of 3-5 years is required, as minimum, depending on the position.
We hope you have the following mindset:
You never do boring tasks, because you have automated them
You have no problem with pair programming, instead you see it as an opportunity to share and learn new things
Final, immutable, NotNull are natural building blocks in your code
You enjoy working in an agile team and you really understand the meaning of the Agile Manifesto
Curious to learn new techniques and skills
You should have a positive attitude and be able to cooperate with a team, but also work independently when required. Your ability to take responsibility for the application, be structured in your work and focus on quality is very important. You must be proficient in written and spoken English language skills.
The location
Scania headquarter is located less than 40 km south of Stockholm city. It is easily accessible by regional train, commuter train, bus or car. Scania's own bus line, Scania Job Express, goes from Stockholm city directly to Scania in Sodertalje.
