Job Description
This role resides in the Online trading distribution development team. We are looking for a 5+ years experienced server-side Java developer, preferably on large application systems. The responsibilities includes requirements gathering, working with business analysts, production support, developing new functionality as well as maintaining the existing architecture.
Key roles:
• Participate in the design- and development cycle of highly complex multi-asset J2SE system.
• Involvement in designing and developing a new architectural platform for message distribution.
• Maintenance of current production environments including development support.
Technical skills:
A suitable candidate will possess some of the following skills and past experience:
• At least 5 years experience in Java (J2SE).
• Client/Server development.
• Service Oriented Architecture and design.
• Good knowledge of Message-Oriented Middleware (MOM).
• Good knowledge of design patterns and OO fundamentals in general.
• Good knowledge of SQL Server/Oracle.
• Knowledge of C/C++ is a big plus.
• Knowledge about capital markets, i.e. financial software and trading relating processes is a big plus.
• Knowledge of Scrum or other agile software development processes is a big plus.
• Knowledge of application servers is a plus.
Personal skills:
• Good team player.
• Decisiveness and focus on actions and results.
• A sincere interest in the Java programming language.
• Ability to focus on business and customer needs.
• Contribute with new ideas and enthusiasm to the team.
