As a member of the collaboration hub development team , you will be working in an agile environment, with skilled colleagues caring about quality, reliability and performance. The team is core to the collaboration layer services at Scania handling everything around use and exchange of engineering data across different brands within VW T&B, such as change management, vehicle parts, designs, structures and much more.
Collaboration layer is built upon micro services based architecture to integrate Scania and its partners' applications/systems with modern technology component such .Net core , AngularJS, AWS cloud based Services and Infrastructure components , API gateway and Combination of relational and NoSQL databases. With this team you will contribute to our innovation path, by taking the journey of moving our backend systems into a cloud-based solution, leveraging different AWS components
Your responsibility
As a part of the agile development team, you will be responsible for a wide scope of activities including:
• taking the Scrum Master role within the team (on a rotating basis)
• actively participate in the decision making process from a development perspective
• sharing the overall responsibility of the team's deliveries
• taking informed decisions based on an understanding of overall architecture & design of the applications
• actively collaborate and cooperate with internal stakeholders to build robust solutions
Your profile
Our successful candidate will be a natural leader with a passion and understanding for agile culture and ways of working. You have a degree in computer science or similar degree, complemented with 6+ years' experience as a java technologies and a significant interest in IT. You need to be proficient in written and spoken English since it's our corporate language.
Must have:
• An interest in building reusable and modular IT solutions
• The commitment and motivation to work with others to deliver, simplify and improve
• Good knowledge of java technologies (e.g. Core Java (v1.7/1.8), JavaEE , Spring Boot, JSF , JPA, JSF ,Hibernate, RESTful Web Services, Gradle/Maven , Jboss , Junit, Git)
• Distributed microservice-based architectures
• Front-end experience using modern JavaScript frameworks such as AngularJS.
• Good knowledge of writing automated unit tests using TDD, and CI/CD
• Good knowledge of container services (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Good experience and knowledge of AWS cloud services
• Knowledge Oracle DB / MySQL and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB etc.
• Good knowledge of design patterns, coding optimizations and consistent improvement of existing code base
Good to have:
• Experience of using AWS cloud services and AWS certification is an advantage.
• Knowledge of API gateway such as WSO2 or similar.
• Knowledge of streaming platform such as Kafka or similar.
• You probably have a background as a Scrum Master - Scrum-certification PSM (professional Scrum master) and/or CSM (Certified Scrum Master) is an advantage.
Qualification: Masters degree in IT or similar
