Senior IT Security Specialist

CIO Office is the staff function within Group IT with the task to ensure governance and strategic transformation of IT in Volvo Car Group.

As a Senior IT Security Specialist you will support Volvo Cars business in all aspects of the IT Security area; including governance and development IT Security for Volvo Car Group with the aim to protect our customers, acting as a trusted advisor for IT Security area to Volvo Cars business, serving as a focal point for IT security related matters including IT Security Incident support, giving technical IT Security guidance, promoting responsible IT Security behavior and more. As described, the role will support a variety of tasks and needs a broad understanding and experience of IT Security Governance in large enterprises. The central IT Security team is cooperating with a network of people around the globe in all business areas.

Main responsibilities

* Act as a trusted advisor within Volvo Car Group for Information and IT Security, with particular emphasis on IT Security
* Act as internal consultant for the IT Security area within Volvo Car Group globally
* Actively contribute to the development, improvement, implementation and maintenance of the frameworks for IT Security such as our IT Security Directives
* Proactively identify risks and improvement areas related to IT Security within Volvo Car Group
* Perform IT Security risk assessments and reporting
* Support IT Security development within Connected Car area with focus on protecting our end customers
* Actively collaborate with internal stakeholders in Volvo Car Group to improve IT Security
* Promote awareness for the IT Security area and existing policies/directives
* Participate in cross functional activities and projects as an IT security representative
* Support roll-out of Information and IT Security Framework through e.g. awareness and training activities
* Good collaboration and relational skills; comfortable working with and leading other skilled professionals towards common goals and to meet a lot of people in your daily work
* Self-directed, organised and results oriented with a structured approach and analytical mind-set

Required qualifications

* University degree in relevant field, preferably in IT or Computer Science
* Senior person with at least 5-10 years of relevant work experience in subject matter area
* Strong experience and knowledge in Information and IT Security
* Knowledge of ISO 27000
* Preferably holding certificates such as CISSP, CISA, CISM or CRISC
* Preferably holds leadership experience
* Fluent in English, both oral and written

Personal qualities

* Strong personal leadership and integrity - being able to drive development of IT Security independently and in team(s).
* Good communication skills; the ability to address IT Security in written form and the capability to share IT Security knowledge verbally in a clear, concise manner to both technical specialists and people without technical knowledge.
* Good collaboration and relational skills; comfortable working with and leading other skilled professionals towards common goals and to meet a lot of people in your daily work.
* Self-directed, organised and results oriented with a structured approach and analytical mind-set.
