The Energy Storage System (ESS) is part of the Volvo Group Trucks Technology. The department's main role is to deliver and receive power to a system - using high voltage batteries. To be able to solve this, a range of different batteries and system solutions is developed and maintained, which are being used in a wide range of applications, from busses and trucks to boats.
About the role
The ESS department is responsible for all the parts in the Battery, HW design, cell design, SW, and system design. Right now, we are expanding - to be able to move some of the supplier-developed systems to in-house development. As an Integration engineer, you will be part of the BMS Control team. Here, you will develop SW for the in-house developed Battery Management Systems. You will be highly involved in the development of Base SW for the low-level layers of the BMS, and responsible for integrating Base SW deliveries to our SW platform. We think you have good knowledge in tools such as Git, Jenkins, Davinci, Matlab/targetlink, and also in model-based SW design. With your experience, you also have competencies in HARA Root Cause Analysis and agile methodology. Requirements:
MSc in Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical or equivalent
Several years of experience from embedded software/system development design and development OR Documented experience from working with battery management systems and in an agile development environment
Several years of experience from HW/SW integration
Experience with product documentations
