As senior innovation manager you will initiate and lead innovation in new services and solutions from idea generation to new ventures. Main responsibility is to identify opportunities for service innovation enabled by digital technologies that can improve our customers' performance and create new business opportunities for the Volvo Group. You will play a key role for developing new transport solutions through executions of Proof of Concepts, customer pilots with partners, Advance engineering projects or leading new ventures. The role requires an agile, networked way of working as well as an open mindset and passion to deliver value for our customers.
The position reports to the Director Business Innovation & foresight and are part to the Volvo Group Connected Solutions Innovation Lab.
Key Responsibilities
As Senior Innovation manager, your key responsibilities are:
• Actively seek new opportunities for Volvo Group and its customers by identifying, scoping and driving new innovation projects from idea generation to new ventures
• Generate new ideas and concept through facilitating workshops together with internal and external stakeholders
• Keep track on trends, start-ups and competitor movements within the connected and digital domain related to Volvo Group business e.g. Logistics, Construction, Mining, Public transport and Fleet management
• Lead or participate in advanced engineering project aiming to explore and conceptualize future offerings and solutions within the transport and infrastructure domain
• Collaborate with functions within Volvo Group, commercial and engineering teams, to enable successful execution of new digital services and solutions
• Collaborate with external partners, both large multinationals as well as start-up 's with the purpose to explore new opportunities and build valuable partnerships
• Capture knowledge from research and concepts trials and diffuse to other units within Volvo Group
Location & Timeline
The position is based in Gothenburg, Sweden. Frequent travel is expected. The final date of sending your application is February 12.

Competence Profile & Qualifications
To qualify for this role, you should have experience from:
• Proven experience and understanding of methods such as business model design, Design thinking Lean start-up etc.
• Experience from domain related to Volvo Group business areas e.g. Logistics, Construction, Mining, Public transport and Fleet management combined with digital experience
• Gets energy from both strategizing as well as hands on prototype building and testing with customers
• Ability to proactively identify, package and communicate new business opportunities using a data driven approach
• Experience of leading cross functional teams in different phases from, idea development to commercialization, with an agile and Lean start-up approach
• Experienced in working with external partners including, large strategic partners and small start-up 's, on a global arena to create new business offerings
• Entrepreneurial mindset and drive
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Successful in building excellent working relationships across domains
• Excellent professional skills and ability to work in a fast paced, multicultural and diverse environment
• We expected a minimum of 7+ years experience in similar roles
