Emerging Technologies focuses on Volvo CE's long-term success. We are a small, agile and motivated team of 22 colleagues located in Sweden, Korea and Germany. We believe that diversity is giving us the right perspective so you will have the opportunity to work in a multi-cultural team. Shaping our future together with academia, partners and customers we developed new solution like the electric site which has been one important puzzle piece to the founding of Volvo Autonomous solutions. You will create innovative solutions by combining technical solutions from internal & external partners to shape the future portfolio of Volvo CE offer, both on machines & services.
You have an engineering master's degree & experience in product development, preferably as a system integrator. You are able to conceptualize & simulate innovation opportunities in the customer ecosystem, integrating sub-systems from partners, Volvo CE machines or services. You can organize your work independently and therefore can cope with a high degree of freedom? You have a positive attitude towards working beyond Volvo CE & build the future together with partners, eg startups?

In this role, you will get to contact & visit customer sites to understand their unmet needs, challenges & processes. Scouting potential partners, you will lead or participate to innovation events, review & evaluate startup technical solutions, leveraging other specialists across Volvo CE. You will enable, guide & perform co-creation with partners to launch proof-of-value demonstrators at customer sites. You will work close to business development & other teams to enable new business for Volvo CE. You will support knowledge transfer to enable fast market introduction. You will also contribute to developing the Volvo CE innovation model.
Who Are You?
You may have a master's degree in systems engineering, software development or connectivity. You have broad technical knowledge in product, technologies or customer ecosystems.
You may have some experience with integrating on-board/off-board systems to create new solutions. You also have the ability to see through complexity to identify opportunities when combining multiple diverse solutions.
You may have experience working with external partners, startups & customers.
Good To Have
You have a positive (Can Do) attitude and are also fluent in English (verbally and written)
You are great at working in a cross-functional and global environment, and love to create innovative concepts
Willingness to travel occasionally
