The position is based at Lindholmen Science Park, the most dynamic development area in Göteborg. The aim is to create increased innovation, international competitiveness and growth for the entire area.
Job description
Together in a closely knit team, your tasks will be to develop and improve power supply solutions and implement new technologies required to insure the technology leadership for Ericsson. The job includes requirement handling, design and verification of power-supply solutions for telecom applications. You will deal with the design of DC/DC converters, POL, EMI filters, protection circuitry, supervision and control functions. More importantly, you'll be part of a design team that is passionate about its people and its technology. We work in R&D projects in close cooperation with designers from other disciplines in countries all over the world.
Due to the high number of products and the extreme quality aspects we also have adapted the platform design method which will support you in the design process. Your skills will be preserved and reused over and over again in a continuous improvement cycle.
Qualifications
BSc or MSc degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
Experience of analog electric design and switched power supplies.
Skills in schematic drawing and practical experience of handling measurement instrumentation in a laboratory environment.
Knowledge of digital power design and firmware/software.
Fluent in Swedish and English.
You have an analytical approach, a strong drive for results and customer focus. You have good communication and co-operation skills and the ability to take the initiative and adapt to new methods and techniques. Most of all you have an inquisitive mind, and a thirst for knowledge.
It would be of great value if you have good knowledge about:
Powering radio circuitry
Powering DSP-kernels, ASIC etc
Adaptive regulation techniques
Linear and non-linear regulation technology
Transient suppression techniques in both analog and digital domains
Common HW conversion topologies
