Senior Group Manager Volume Management - Volvo Cars Product Marketing

At MARKETING, SALES & CUSTOMER SERVICE (MS&CS) you are part of a global team with the mission to ensure that all consumer touch points reflect our brand essence of 'Designed Around You' and that all services deliver a true luxury experience. We oversee all commercial activities for Volvo Car Corporation (VCC) across the world, including marketing communication, customer interaction, sales and service. Product Marketing is part of the Sales department within MS&CS. Product Marketing is working with the global creation and implementation of New Car Market Equation including, volume, pricing & positioning strategies on car, trim level and option, to secure a profitable and premium price positioning. We are also the voice of the market into VCC center.

For the New Car projects within VCC we secure through consumer and market insights a Revenue Optimised Market equation at all gates, this to ensure VCC profitable growth and that we take the correct, fact based, product decisions in the Product Creation Process.

As SENIOR GROUP MANAGER - VOLUME MANAGEMENT you will lead a team of three people, responsible for the Long Term Planning process (LTP), VCC long term volume plan, including market and Senior Management anchoring and to be the voice of the Markets in the VCC Cycle Plan work and align Cycle Plan development within MS&CS.

The right candidate is a proven performer with strong analytical skills with ability to interpret, compile and communicate financial data in a clear and concise way. Job profile:

Additionally to specifically manage the team of Volume Management, the main task of the Senior Group Manager is the following:
• Support and guide the Volume team to ensure integrity, timely alignment and reporting in the Long Term Planning (LTP) process and of the Long Range Plan (LRP) volumes across all disciplines, and to manage, develop and refine the operation of the LTP and LRP process
• Independently analyse and perform ad-hoc cycle plan investigations in the context of both price and volume
• Deliver the volume part of the market equation for VCC New Car program
• Manage volume analysis in "Up toprocess" (New program Strategy phase)
• Secure the development, coordination and communication of the Long Range Planning on a global VCC level
• Liaise with a defined group of markets to gain better understanding of market traits, dynamics and trends as part of the LTP process and on an ad hoc basis as required for specific project based work
• Coordinate the Volvo volume planning process between long (2-10 year horizon) and short-term (0-2 year horizon) volumes with MSS Sales Operations and Sales Strategy, MSS Finance and Central Finance
• Communicate final LRPs to NSCs and VCC stakeholders

Your profile:
• Academic degree with distinction, preferably in the areas of marketing and sales or engineering with marketing focus
• Excellent leadership skills
• Deep and holistic company knowledge to be able to manage and make business decisions.
• Excellent analytical skills and a passion for accuracy in numbers!
• Team player and ability to communicate cross organisation
• A can-do attitude and desire for improving the business on a daily basis
• High integrity and strong business acumen
• Proficient in both written and spoken English, other languages desirable
• Ability to support business cases using Excel and PowerPoint
