Group Accounting is working closely with Volvo Car Group subsidiaries all over the world giving guidance, ensuring adherence of the Volvo Car Groups Finance Manual and participating in different projects and accounting topics. Working in the Group Accounting department gives a big opportunity to a wide circle of contacts within Volvo Car Group as well as getting a comprehensive view of the financial activities within the group.
As a Senior Group Financial Accountant you will be key point of contact for Consolidation and Financial Reporting matters. The position will work close with Group Treasury, Accounting Governance and Global Finance Operations and work actively with Consolidation and Financial reporting. The responsibility will include ensuring adherence of the Volvo Car Groups Finance Manual, preparing monthly and quarterly financial analysis and reporting in line with IFRS requirements. The position will require extensive contact with different positions within Group Finance, Global Operations and Business Control as well as with external auditors.
Main responsibilities
• Responsibility for the consolidated financial statements of Volvo Car Group
• Actively lead and co-ordinate financial reporting, consolidation and accounting matters of Volvo Car Group
• Ensure the adherence of accounting guidelines
Required qualifications
• University degree in Business Administration (major in finance) or equivalent
• Experience (minimum 10 years) of accounting whereof at least 6 years in consolidation in an international organisation
• Knowledge in IFRS accounting principles
• Good analytical skills
• Leadership and communication capabilities
• Personal drive and used to keep deadlines
• Good presentation skills
• Good knowledge in Excel, preferably also in Hyperion FM is meritorious
