Avalanche Studios is a developer of epic open-world action adventure games, based in Stockholm Sweden. The studio was made well-known to gamers world-wide with the release of our critically acclaimed and award-winning game Just Cause in 2006. The sequel to Just Cause was released in 2010 and has won numerous awards and received critical acclaim world-wide. The studio is currently in development of two projects based on very well-known licenses and a XBLA/PSN title, Renegade Ops, a project based on an Avalanche Studios original IP. Our goal is to maintain and strengthen our leading position as a developer of open-world action games. Avalanche Studios is a privately held, independent developer.
Avalanche Studios is currently looking for experienced Graphics Programmers to help deliver cutting edge visuals and maintain the Avalanche Engine reputation.
We require experienced graphics programmers with at least 4 years of development experience for current generation consoles. This is a position within one of several high profile unannounced AAA titles, for Xbox 360 and PS3, with some of the world’s most distinguished publishers.
The ideal candidate should be a highly motivated individual who is good at communicating and working within cross-discipline teams, particularly with artists. Furthermore, a deep understanding of modern graphics architectures and pipelines is required. The candidate should also have the ability to plan and carry out programming tasks to required levels of quality and on time.
Candidates must have a proven track record in profiling and low-level optimization, setting up an art content pipeline (compilers and exporters), building shaders from the ground up and techniques used in advanced lighting.
If you’re interested in working with some of the most talented individuals in the games industry and pushing the limits of visuals on these platforms, this will be the perfect position for you.
To apply for this position please register below with a detailed CV and cover letter. Apply as soon as possible as we review applications continuously. All further information is provided under non-disclosure agreement only. All applicants are required to relocate to work full-time in Stockholm, Sweden.
