Hardware Design Engineers at ARM have responsibilities that cover all areas of the design and verification process, from initial concept through to customer deployment.

You will work as part of a world class engineering team on highly challenging GPU development projects. This is a demanding hands-on role, employing the latest design and verification techniques to develop best-in-class configurable graphics processor hardware IP that is optimized for low power and high performance.

Successful candidates will display interest in 2D/3D graphics technology and/or GPU computing, along with a high degree of technical creativity. Furthermore, candidates will demonstrate specialist skills in low power micro architecture definition and RTL implementation, including hands-on experience using state of the art tools and techniques in complex IP development projects.

A Master's or Ph.d. university degree is required, ideally in electronic engineering or computer science.

Further, the following requirements apply:

• Commercial GPU, CPU or Video hardware design and implementation experience
• Proven ability to design, specify, implement and verify complex IP designs
• Experience of VHDL/Verilog
• A high level of pro-activity, initiative and problem solving.
• Enthusiasm, drive and diligence.
• Ability to schedule own workload and plan tasks
• Ability to express ideas and communicate effectively in English
• Willingness to learn, be flexible and accept new challenges
• Use of UNIX development environments
• Knowledge of industry standard simulation environments
