What you will do
In your role as Global Component Responsible, you will be leading the development of components on the fuel injection system, together with our suppliers and as part of the cross functional team that includes Purchasing, Operations and After Market. You will be involved in the complete lifecycle of the components, from early development phase to industrialization and finally maintenance. With the Volvo Group ambitious decarbonization goals, improvements and new solutions are required on the fuel injection system to make sure it can operate with new and alternative fuels smoothly. You will take part in that exciting journey!
Your future team
We are the Fuel Injection Equipment group, or short FIE. Our group is made of 10 engineers from 4 different countries. We enjoy cooperating within the team as well as globally with our colleagues in Brazil, USA, France and Bangalore. We are ambitious but we also believe in having fun at work and therefore an engaging work environment is highly important to us!

In this role, we are looking for someone who has the ability to lead a cross-functional team, secure the deliveries in time and with the expected quality within your scope. Further, we see that it is important that you have a positive attitude and the ability to interact, network and cooperate effectively within our organization as well as externally with suppliers and other partners. You are a driven person, who enjoys drawing conclusions, delivering results and with an interest in improving work methods. Knowledge sharing within engine development regarding cross functional work, supplier management and project management is highly appreciated.
In order to succeed in this role we believe you have the following knowledge and experience:
• Master of Science or similar technical education.
• Fluent in English, written and spoken.
• Previous experience of Product Development (3-5 years)
• Previous experience with ICE development is a merit
• Knowledge on Volvo Group tools (KOLA, PDMLink, etc) is a merit
