We are a startup company based in Stockholm with an experienced team of developers that have a background from the gaming industry. We are now establishing our marketing team and seeking professionals that will focus on attracting and acquiring players in our launch markets during 2015.
About You An ideal candidate will have a knack for solving a broad range of problems using a wide array of technologies. Is communicative and loves taking on tasks with others as well as independent The Role You will work in our small back end team and develop our server side game logic. The team is small, so you will have a large impact on all aspects of development, and operations Responsibilities - Architect, design, implement and tune robust features that perform and scale in a critical environment using the Java language with Google App Engine. - Develop solutions using Java, Google Endpoints framework, and 3rd part APIs. - Improve architecture and optimize performance of our game environment. - Execute on quality related tasks like unit tests, functional testing, and automation of Functional and performance test cases to ensure that the feature is delivered with highest quality.
Required Skills . 3+ years Java application development experience (J2SE and J2EE) . Strong experience in backend (Java, SQL, GAE) software development . Experience building usable and scalable systems or applications . Strong affinity to delivering features with high quality . Good knowledge of SQL and relational database programming . Ability to learn and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment . Ability to work against aggressive deadlines . Experience with agile software development, and short release cycles Bonus Skills . Experience from REST and HTTP protocols Experience in game development . Good knowledge of Google App Engine environment Knowledge of mobile development (IOS/Android) . Knowledge of real time applications and services like PubNub or Pusher.com
