Saltside Technologies is looking for a strong Frontend Web Developer to join our development team in Gothenburg. You will be working with our frontend desktop and mobile web applications in a small product team. There you will cooperate closely with the Product Owner to create the best possible product and end user experience.

Saltside Technologies develops and operates websites in emerging markets, with focus set on online classified sites. Currently Saltside operates the top classified sites in Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Ghana, and we also operate in Pakistan.

In these countries, the vast majority of people have yet to go online for the first time. Affordable cell phones and Internet access will enable them to have their first Internet experience in the coming years ? and we think they should be greeted by high quality services and a great end-user experience when they do.

About you
Required
• You have a true passion for building great software and amazing end user experiences
• You have a drive to constantly learn and grown as a software developer
• You have JavaScript skills on an expert level
• You have expert knowledge of web browser environments and JavaScript runtimes
• You are confident in leveraging the JavaScript language, DOM and Browser API without the aid of jQuery
• You are fluent in all the basic front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, etc)
Meriting
• You have experience using JavaScript TDD tools like Mocha and Buster.js
• You are experienced in modern web technologies, including Backbone.js, WebSockets, ECMAScript 5 and Require.js
• You have experience in using web frameworks like Ruby on Rails or Django
• You have experience in defining JSON data formats to be sent by the backend
• You have excellent command of the English language, written and spoken
