SP Process Development is looking for a senior formulation scientist to help build our platform for formulation research and manufacture of clinical trial material. The position is based in Södertälje.
SP Process Development is a subsidiary institute of SP Technical Research Institute of Sweden. Our research and innovation is about chemical and pharmaceutical process development. We are now starting up our new facilities for small scale manufacture of chemicals and pharmaceutical drug products and searching for an enthusiastic and ambitious colleague to help us get running.
In your role you will support building up the infrastructure for manufacture of clinical trial material. This involves setting up and maintaining a quality system according to Good Manufacturing Practice, working routines, logistics, and validation and maintenance of premises and equipment.
The role will include research and development of pharmaceutical formulations for client's projects or fund based research. Collaboration with external academic and industrial partners is an important aspect of the job. You are encouraged to initiate contacts with commercial and academic partners, and establish new research collaborations.
A successful candidate will have an academic degree within a relevant life science area, and more than 5 years of experience from formulation development and manufacture of pharmaceutical drug products in an industrial setting.
We are especially interested in candidates with experience from aseptic manufacture of clinical trial material and/or experience from packaging and distribution of clinical trial material.
You are a curious, creative, and open minded person. You are not afraid to take initiative and can work in a regulated environment. Furthermore, you have interest in building relationships with potential customers and partners, create new projects and feel confident working in a customer context.
