Our client is a central unit within a major corporation with offices worldwide. The unit provides support to the corporation in the human resources and financial administration areas. One of the departments is working within Group Accounting and Internal Control that contributes to develop the Financial Reporting process within the corporation. The department holds the responsibility of securing the accuracy and completeness of the business area's management report and sign off the financial reporting.
Our client is now expanding this department due to changes within the corporation. Therefore Adecco Automotive is now looking for 4 group financial controllers who want to take on an exciting new challenge; to deliver quality and efficiency in controlling and accounting in a large international corporation.
What's included in your ordinary workday?
As Financial Controller you will provide information, comments and response to questions coming from Chief Controllers and make sure there is a good dialogue with the management and controllers. This includes:
• Make sure necessary information is provided to Business Control to enhance efficient administrative processes and correct closings.
• Implement and/or follow up the corporation's policies and ensure legal compliance at all times, in applicable areas.
• Actively contribute to - and participate in - all relevant decision forums and later on implement decisions made.
• Drive the preparation of the monthly closing to secure that the financial information is accurate, timely and quality checked.
• Develop and prepare various financial statement and performance reports including comments.
• Coordinate and prepare the financial data for Business Review and Quarterly Review meetings in close co-operation with Business Control.
Who are you?
In order to quickly understand the role, we believe that you have a several years experience in financial controlling and accounting. You also have at least a Bachelor's degree within Business Administration. It's very important that you have proven leadership skills within the Finance area, demonstrating a strong track record of professional achievements. A good understanding of how an international corporation practices in financial reporting, including policies, IFRS, reporting and processes is vital when you take on this challenge.
If you have strong interpersonal skills/abilities with a high degree of 'flexibility', including an ability to network effectively across a diverse organization you will fit right in on this department. The assignment also includes travelling internationally and proficiency in the English language is required. You will also have a great advantage if you have experience working in any of the following areas:
• Retail and service operation
• Manufacturing
• Product development and/or purchasing operations
