Product Development Financial Control is responsible to secure the profitability of our new and existing cars. Product Development is supporting both major programs and model year programs including facelifts, engine introductions, CO2 activities, connectivity, electrification etc.
As a Senior Financial Controller, you will be able to both create, develop and influence your daily work. You will work closely with the technical Management team. Preferably, you have a technical interest with focus on electrical and powertrain skills. We are looking for talented people with a positive mind-set.
Main responsibilities
The Senior Financial Controller is a member of the technical program management team. You will work together with the Business Controllers and the program management team by providing financial analysis in milestone gates and by controlling costs and investments.
Details below are the major responsibilities of a Senior Financial Controller Product Development.
* Work with the technical team to develop business cases.
* Create presentations and reviews for gateways together with Business Controllers.
* Responsible for controlling Material Cost, Tooling and Facilities within the program.
* Provide financial and business expertise to the Technical Project Leader.
* Work actively with the program management team in making vehicle design decisions that enable the team to achieve their material cost and investment targets.
* Issue to issue reporting by updating, presenting and explaining material cost & investment variances.
* Develop principles, processes and tools to improve cost control.
Required qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering or similar.
* Strong business acumen with good analytical skills.
* Be able to understand, interpret and communicate financial information in a clear and concise way.
* Strong leadership skills in areas of business acumen, integrity, drive for result, teamwork and communication.
* Fluency in English.
Desired qualifications:
* Understanding of Finance's role in R&D processes incl. VPDS.
* Experience in Product Cost Control, R&D or Manufacturing.
* Controlling experience.

* Strong team skills, an ability to work well with others, and to deliver on commitments.
* Proactive and positive attitude.
* Social skills and willingness to share knowledge.
* Technical interest.
