We now need to strengthen our R&D team with a new colleague and are looking for you who are experienced in research and development within wet spinning of cellulosic fibers. Join our great team in the effort of creating a more sustainable fiber for the global textile market!
YOU WILL
You will be part of a growing company with the ambition of being a game changer within the textile industry to significantly reduce the environmental footprint of the textile industry and to make sustainable textile fibers available to all. We have a novel chemical technology - using renewable forest raw material and regenerating the cellulose into a textile fiber. You will be responsible for our R&D area Fiber Development and the main assignments will be to:
• innovate and project lead this field.
• build a fiber development platform with several fiber versions.
• identify and develop potential collaborations to support the fiber development.
• secure future fiber versions with controlled fiber properties.
• lead new projects for potential new products for the company.
You will be a key member of a small team, working closely with your colleagues and coordinate the collaboration within R&D, our Demonstration Plant and lab, but also our external partners. Our head office is in Stockholm, but for this role you can work mostly remote. Though travel will be required.
YOU ARE
We are looking for you who has in-depth knowledge and experience from research and development about wet spinning of cellulosic fibers. Your knowledge is e.g. within fiber properties, cellulose chemistry and additives. You have a broad experience in fiber modification and enjoy working between theory and practice to contribute to the development of sustainable and cost-efficient fibers with versatile properties. You should have a PhD degree in Chemistry and/or Physics, or equal background within relevant field, or with more than 10 years relevant industrial experience. As a person you enjoy working in a team and develop a research area. You can easily work independent but have the ability to involve and engage with people and share your knowledge. You are development oriented, like to work with new technology and to create something more sustainable.
