Titel: Senior External Relations Assistant
Beskrivning av arbetsuppgifter:
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Snr Regional External Relations Officer, act as the Regional Office's focal point for public awareness activities.
Assist with administrative, logistical and content arrangements for briefings, conferences and events.
Represent UNHCR at briefings and events as appropriate.
Liaison with NGOs and UN agencies for purposes of joint public awareness initiatives.
Contribute to the production of public awareness information brochures and publications.
Responsible for ordering and distribution of HQs-produced public information material.
Contribute with texts for the office's website.
Follow up and respond to incoming correspondence from general public, researchers, companies, etc.
Perform other duties as required, including translations.
Beskrivning av kvalifikationer:
Qualifications
Essential
Completion of secondary education.
Minimum 6 years of relevant work experience.
knowledge of English and a Nordic language.
Desired
Post-secondary education in communication, political/social sciences or related field.
Experience with advocacy and public information work in an international organisation or NGO.
Experience with design and production of information material.
Knowledge of another Nordic/Baltic and UN language.
